Cleveland Game Devs December Meetup

It's a holiday spectacular meetup.

// Introductions
// Preparing for Global Game Jam next month!
// Anyone spent time with Wii U?
// How necessary is Steam to a game's success?
// Your Game of the Year
// 2013 resolutions: things to learn, things to do
// Updates on members' projects + new commercial releases this month (Oregon Whale, updated GAME.minder, more?)
// Games We're Playing

At these monthly meetups, get together with game developers and enthusiasts in the Northeast Ohio area to discuss games, the indie scene, and the industry. All are welcome regardless of skill or knowledge; you don't have to be a programmer or an artist to join in.

Recruiting is discouraged, and members are advised to do detailed research and vetting before entering into any venture.

    Sorry I was a no show. Power went out today and I stayed home to keep the fire going and the house warm for my wife.

    I'll be bringing my LD48 game, Bad Puppy, so those of you who do not use Windows will have an opportunity to play!

    New topic suggested by Jeremy Handel in the Facebook group (http://www.facebook.com/groups/clevelandgamedevs/):

    "Steam box. the end of OUYA before it even begins or totally different market?"

    We can also look at your Ludum Dare games if you bring 'em.

    Can't decide so I'm going to have to say FTL and Saints Row 3. FTL for its deceptively simple, immediately addictive, narrative building game play. Saints Row 3 because it was a crazy, unexpected roller coaster of a game.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
