Introduction
My freelance business is increasingly focused on gaming and interactive simulations, especially for education. Client work pays the bills while I keep my own projects moving on the side: a couple of 3D games for iPhone/iPad, maybe other platforms.
What are are your top 5 favorite games?
Quake Wars. Penumbra series. Unreal Tournament series (I like all the mod variety). Prey. Halo. Descent series. American McGee's Alice. RealMYST. Giants: Citizen Kabuto. Old favorites: Lode Runner and 2-Player Lemmings. Anything on iCade.
Do you enjoy programming, graphic arts, music, or story?
I have a programming and graphic design background, but I also enjoy story work, 3D modeling and some audio work. I enjoy all aspects of game creation, but am particularly interested in the challenges of gameplay development and user-interaction/UI.
What is your major goal in game development?
To build worthwhile educational and activist games that are also fun. To collaborate on small-group projects just for fun. And to finish some long-neglected side projects!
