Heights Area Games at ORANGE Library

Hello East-siders (...and those from all other sides, too)!

A couple of adjustments for May:

This month's meetup is going to be at the Orange branch of the CCPL. Beachwood was booked up this month. The room should be a bit larger, and has a kitchenette and media facilities (if anyone has any games that require a DVD or CD)!

Also, the meetup will take place on Sunday the 19th (due to Mother's Day being on the 12th, and Memorial Day weekend being on the 23rd).

The Library opens at 1pm, and closes promptly at 5pm. You may bring food and drink.

If anyone has any requests to play any specific games, please post in the comments--I'll try to find some teaching materials and post them beforehand so we can maximize game time!

We played Terra Mystica, and I had a good time.

Terra Mystica, huh? That's not a surprise.

It certainly has my interest. I plan on playing it at every opportunity. It has a lot of game to learn.

We only got to play TM, but it was a heck of a game...thanks to Michael and his brilliant whirlwind training session! Can't wait to play this again 10 more times to maybe start getting good at it...

FYI--checked out the Microsoft store at Beachwood Place as a possible venue for us. Unfortunatly, in addition to probably parking issues, the store only has a small space at the back for maybe 10 people/2 games, and is a little noisy. Sounds like they'll be some competition for time, too, amongst other video game events. I haven't given up on the idea, but Orange CCPL seemed a better fit.

Hi Orlando! Part of my purpose in having the Heights Area meetup on Sunday was to serve the area--most meetups are at least 30 minutes away from here. Mentor, unfortunately, is a bit further away than would be conducive, I think.

...that said, if someone else wanted to host a meetup on a different Sunday in Mentor through our group, I don't see that as being a problem. Although--if the GLGE is already set up for gaming on Sunday, the work might already be done (in fact, I think the Mentor Gamers group has a weekly Sunday meetup already scheduled every Sunday there).

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
