Hope you had a great summer. Please join the Cleveland Board Gamers at the Lakewood Public Library for some Sunday afternoon fun and games. Always have a good time! We play from 1 to 6 pm formally. We can play until 8:30 pm if there is enough interest to stay. Please note: Lakewood Library no longer allows food and drink to be consumed on their premises.  Hope to see you there.

I learned two things playing my fave games... Powe Grid _can_ end "in an instant" as proved by Nic who was able to buy 17 cities even though he could power only 10, and he won because I could power only 9 and Lynne only 7. Wo_oW what a smackdown that was. ;P I also (re?)learned that "Most Tix" (15pt bonus _plus_ all the pts from the rts themseles - duuuuh!) can beat "Longest Train" when both bonuses are in play. *siiiigh*

Glad to have this event back. Hopefully I can play with y'all more often this go 'round ;) Had fun on this day playing Power Grid with Nic and Lynne preceeded by a game of the classic Ticket to Ride game. Two of my fave "thinky avec shenanigans" games. *tehee*

It was great seeing everyone again. Fall is here. Gaming is going strong again. Lots of games were played. Congrats to the champions. Jon P. took honors winning Castles of Burgundy, Gauntlet of Fools & Thunderstone. Pete F. won Seasons & City Tycoon, Ron T. - Lords of Waterdeep, Lynne A. - Ticket to Ride Nordic Countries. Brian L. - Ticket to Ride America, Nick S. - Power Grid China, Sean F. - Alien Frontiers, Nevin S. - Gauntlet of Fools, and finally to a new member Eric L. for dominating in Power Grid America. It was a great day for gaming. Hope to see everyone next month.
