Some Smart Interesting Women in Search of Something To Do Pages

WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW MEMBERS ON A VERY LIMITED BASIS TO MAINTAIN SOME CORE CONSISTENCY AND COHESIVENESS OF THE GROUP, AS WELL AS MANAGEABLE EVENT SIZE. If interested, please fill out a complete profile (do NOT email the organizer) so we may fairly consider you out of the large number of requests we receive each week. Profiles must have an identifiable, current photo (so we know you are whom you say you are when you arrive).

IMPORTANT GROUP POLICIES.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE BELOW GUIDELINES (OR OTHER PERSISTENT "BAD BEHAVIOR")
MAY RESULT IN REMOVAL FROM OUR GROUP AT THE DISCRETION OF THE ORGANIZERS.

(We're not trying to be harsh - but these help us keep things running smoothly for all of our members, especially since we have many different event organizers and hosts. We thank you in advance for helping out by abiding by the below!) smile

  • Current, identifiable profile photos (of the actual member) must be maintained throughout membership. Members without photos will not be admitted to meetups until they are in compliance.

  • EMAIL REPLIES TO ORGANIZER AND EVENT HOST EMAILS REQUESTING REPLIES OR CONFIRMATIONS OF RSVPS ARE REQUIRED. You will usually get an email from the organizer or event host a few days before each meetup. YOU MUST RESPOND TO THESE EMAILS IN ORDER TO CONFIRM A "YES" RSVP. We have no way of knowing from the site if RSVPs are current and this is the best system we have found to minimize no-shows and be able to have the right reservations, etc. Please make sure to read these emails from the organizer - I know the other automatic site emails are annoying but it's the only way we've found to effectively manage the size.

  • Please be on time. If you think you might be late, send an email to the event host or organizer running the applicable event ahead of time or ask for their phone number so you can send them a text. (Or, text one of the other members at the event if you have their number but not the organizer's - we need to know if you're coming in order to save seats, order food, start tours, etc. or you may get left behind)

  • MEMBERS WHO NO-SHOW MORE THAN ONCE WITHOUT canceling "YES" RSVPS MAY BE REMOVED FROM THE GROUP AT THE DISCRETION OF THE ORGANIZERS. We ask that if you no longer plan to attend, you remember to log-in and change your RSVP to a "no". WE'RE ALL SMART AND RESPONSIBLE WOMEN - The group only works if we all remember to treat each other with respect, and it can be really demoralizing for a host to show up somewhere when half or more of the people who RSVP'd yes don't show up, as well as a waste of time waiting around for those that do show up.

  • Please only RSVP "yes" for events that you honestly plan to attend. Most of our no-shows tend to be new members who RSVP for all events as soon as they join and then never confirm or log in again and "no-show", or change to a "no" at the last minute. If this means perhaps waiting until closer to the date to RSVP, that might be a good idea.

"Spot-holding" RSVPs make it difficult to plan locations for our group and sometimes means that people who really want to attend wind up on the waiting list and don't have enough time to plan. Please be respectful of the organizer and other members and RSVP responsibly.

All that being said, again, welcome, we're looking forward to getting to know you!

Cheers - and THANK YOU!!
