Although I have a full life- live in the city with my husband and 2 pups and have a number of close friends- very few of my friends live in the city anymore. I'd love the chance to meet some dynamic, interesting women to connect with.
I enjoy exploring art exhibits, lectures, theatre, eclectic restaurants, music and other events in central park. I'd be open to anything from rock climbing at Chelsea Piers to a rooftop happy, hour at the Met, to waiting in line with a group over the summer for Shakespeare in the Park tickets.
I was sent a notice about this group through the Meet Up emailed announcements.
I am a genuine, open, optimistic, person, and can be witty and fun too. I find that that when I am surrounded by inspiring and impressive people, I am inspired to be my own better self.
I am well traveled- have been to six continents so far. I am an elementary school teacher, formerly an art teacher. I am proud and feel fortunate to have had a great educational background, earning my BA at Northwestern U. and 2 masters degrees in education from Columbia University Teachers College and the Bank Street College.
I had a great time. Enjoyed sampling some healthy cuisine and learning about the work of an inspiring nonprofit. Even better were the laughs shared throughout the evening.
