For the past 2 years I have been making images with people in mud. Many of you have asked about this, so I thought what better way to close out the summer than to do some portraits of muddy faces.
Creating dynamic portraits with texture is always hard. I've figured out a few tricks, as well as what type of dirt to use in order to create some very compelling images. These images will get you noticed. They seem to become conversational pieces as well as an interesting piece of art. Trust me I know…
We will have a variety of faces to shoot in various stages of mud covering. I will set up lighting stations for you to work with so all you would need to bring is your camera, good lens, and tripod (optional but suggested.) We will have both male and female subjects. Having multiple muddy subjects to photograph will give you a quick mini portfolio to show off to friends or potential clients.
I will start out by giving a short talk on dramatic lighting and texture in order to help you get the most out of the set-ups. This shoot will be in studio. Snacks and drinks will be provided as well so we don't go hungry.
If you have any questions or needs please let me know.
Come and have some dirty fun with us!
