Join us for rock climbing in a fun, social environment in the greater NYC area!

CRUX members come from the 5 boroughs of NYC, Long Island, Westchester, lower Connecticut, New Jersey and some far away places.

CRUX is for everyone: total beginners, regular gym climbers and outdoor die-hards alike! We have events that cater to every skill level (from the basics through to sport and trad leading).

 

For Absolute Beginners:

We love climbing and we want to introduce more people to this incredible sport. In addition to creating an environment where all of our members feel welcome, this is the place to have a great time getting in shape and meeting new people. Rock climbing is a great sport for people of all ages and abilities and everyone is welcome to join!

Never tried climbing? Don’t worry, it’s fun right from the beginning. We'll show you the ropes and set you up with a beginner-friendly class to learn the basics.

 

For Regular Gym Climbers:

We have regular guy's, women's and co-ed events every month. If you are already a climber, come and join us! If you've climber before, but not in years, come along and we'll give you a refresher and you'll be ready to go!

 

For the climbers who already crank:

This is also a group for you! We have members who have been climbing for 10+ years, climbers who crush at bouldering comps and climbers who are happier at the Gunks or Rumney than on plastic. We do regular trips to the Gunks as well as to Rumney and other interstate crags. Come climb hard with us!!!
