I've decided to make this an open to all members Climbing Night! No more limited attendee wait list! What we will do is climb routes together, cheer each other on, laugh, cry, and take videos/pictures! I'll be there as always to show you all the technique that I can!!
I'm scheduling this Technique Session in order to help climbers gain that extra edge while trying out routes that are at, or beyond their current level.
This Session is not just for beginners, it's for any climber who wants to add some Technique to their arsenal.
You'll be amazed when you use technique on a route you previously thought was impossibly hard, only to realize that a simple "drop knee" or "edge" makes the route quite simple.
We as a group will pick out routes that will challenge each of us, recognizing our weaknesses, and asses what technique we can use to overcome the problems.
We will focus on keeping our arms straight, having proper balance, proper breathing, and conserving our reserve power until we really need it at the crux.
Techniques' such as flagging, edging, heel hook, toe hook, drop knee and smearing will help a great deal while climbing.
These sessions will be small groups, in order to really focus in on our weaknesses and stay together on our projects.
I really want to share these great technique's that have helped not only myself, but the vast majority of climbers in the group.
Joe Wong was kind enough to give me this great advice when I started out climbing 1.5 years ago. I know that without his leadership, coaching and support I would never had reached my goal of climbing a 5.13a...but I did. Thanks to not only him, but the group as well. It's so important to help and support each other while climbing, the only limitations you have, are the ones you put on yourself.
Regular gym admissions apply to all. One-time admission is $16.5. Equipment rental is $5. There's a one time $5 orientation fee. Plus tax.
*** Safety is our top priority, but climbing accidents and even death can happen in a gym. Please kindly review our safety/liability policy here.***
