Dobongsan Hike!

  • March 5, 2011 · 9:30 AM

Hi CIK members!
Let`s  go hiking!!
We are planing to go to  Dobong mountain.  Think around 5-6 hrs. We will head to the top of Sinsundae(Peak), Obong and Yeosungbong, hitting three or four other small peaks along the way, depending on the size and speed of the group and then come back down heading toward Songchu. It's a little steep going up and coming down but everyone should be able to handle it.

This was my most challenging hike ever in Korea, although I've hiked different trails on Dobongsan before and am an experienced hiker. This was my first time rock climbing! I was very challenged, both physically and mentally, but with the excellent support, coaching and safety practices used, I felt confident enough to overcome some very strenuous challenges. Thanks to all and I hope to see you again soon! My only suggestion is that in future, CIK be more specific about the demands and fitness levels required for each course. Thanks!

Wow, that was great! Being in Korea suddenly seems to be way more fun than before - though I needed the entire day for rest! Looking forward for my next hike with you all!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
