Monthly clj-melb meetup

Hi all,

Please come along to the Monthly meetup, we will have two presentations this month.

First Talk -

I have arranged a special guest, Dr Sandy Dance, a research scientist from the Bureau of Meteorology to come along and talk about a thunderstorm probability algorithm he developed a number of years ago named THESPA.

Sandy and I will co-present, he will present on the algorithm its self and I will present an implementation of the algorithm that I wrote in Clojure.

If you wish to read up on the algorithm prior to the meetup there are two papers online in which it was published.

Second Talk -

Andy Kitchen will talk about using a project workflow similar to what Stuart Sierra described in his blog post here: http://thinkrelevance.com/blog/2013/06/04/clojure-workflow-reloaded

Hope to see you all there!

James

Andy - had a stack of questions I totally forgot to ask last night re: the reloaded workflow. I don't suppose the app you quickly flicked through last night is up on github for review? Be keen to see how you structured it.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
