A meetup of two halves for me really.
The ec2dream part of the presentation didn't really work for me. Would have preferred to have been emailed slides and followed setup instructions for AWS. Small fonts and breakneck setup meant I couldn't get much out of experience. I'd go as far as to rate this as awful in way it was done (not the content which was quite good). Appreciated AWS disount vouchers from Chris so I can play around with it at home. Cheers.
Second part with guys from heroku.com (Blake & worked much better for me. Would rate this good to great. Hence the overall neutral vote. Was biased to RoR community. Which wasn't quite my niche, but was very interesting. Cool website Blake and Ryan.

It was a very good introduction to AWS providing a step-by-step tutorial on how to get started. It would have been useful if it had covered some more details, but hey this could be a future meetup!

Since it was hands-on meetup, we didn't have more expectations on the theory behind Cloud Computing.

Great hands on introduction followed by a relevant example from the real world.
