It ended at 1 am. Too late!

All the 12 wines were excellent. But I give 5 stars or 5 grapes to:

    1. "LA FORRA" CHIANTI CLASSICO RISERVA 2009 DOCG (90% sangiovese, 10% cabernet sauvignon)

    2.CABREO BLACK 2008 (100% Pinot Nero) IGT

    3. "BAIA AL VENTO" BOLGHERI SUPERIORE 2009 DOC (90% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% petit Verdot)

    4. BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO DOCG "LA FUGA" 2008 (100% Sangiovese).

Every 2 or 3 months they do an event like this, a sort of advertise for one company, but the price it's good and the wines are excellent. I hope the next one will be on friday!!!

Antonio, no c'e problema. You did mention Falorani but it was not clear that all the wines were from that one cantina. But more importantly, which wines did you like? Did they serve just 6 (3 white and 3 red)? I am planning to buy the Bolgheri wines: they look interesting. And that 100 percent cab is also good. Let's have an event where everyone brings a bottle of their favorite wine under 20 euros. That might be fun.

I agree with you, the introduction was too much.
I wrote it was tenuta falorani tasting.

But the wines were great, one better than other.

    I really enjoyed the event.

This was pretty disappointing. This was not a tasting but an advertisement for one winery (Folonari). All the wines came from the same producer. We were treated to almost an hour of self-congratulatory historical description and slide after slide of information no one wanted to hear (e.g., how many hectares for this grape variety, how many bottles of production for that). Then, after waiting almost 90 minutes (i arrived near 8.30pm) we were given our first of three whites (6 glasses in all). It was vermentino and it was horrible. The sommelier's commentary was, again, platitudes and self-congratulatory comment. I left at this point. I don't know what reds they served, but their Cabreo ("Il Borgo") is excellent. There are a number of excellent enoteche in town that have wine tastings. There are better ways to learn about wine than events such as this.
