"It hurts when I do that" Common Mistakes & Anti-Patterns in iOS App Development

A discussion of the common mistakes, the open-source libraries misused the most, and the really simple code changes that can make huge differences in the reliability and performance of apps. For each mistake or anti-pattern, we'll discuss an explanation of the issue with it, and at least one potential remedy or remediation that could be taken.

Sorry I have not been to a meeting in a while I have been working multiple contracts
    I do have a question
I am using svn via assembla, works great on m,h and xib files, I have a problem when two of us are working on different segments and we commit the project files (i.e. I add new files to the project) then when the other person commits they get the error that the file has been modified, the project file, any thoughts on how to avoid this issue in real world setting?
    Thanks

When using SVN the team should learn the "checkin dance" (http://codebetter.com...)

using FileMerge has proven really helpful for me as it shows the changes coming in side-by-side. I use a 3rd party svn client called svnx and it has worked perfectly for me when facing merging issues.
