CocoaHeads Feb 2014 Meetup

We've two presentations on iOS development for our first meetup of 2014: Matt will do a short overview of how to use Javascript in your app, and Ben will demo how to implement custom View Controller transitions on iOS 7.

With free food and drinks provided thanks to Microsoft's Azure Mobile Services, it's a great chance to meet (or catch up with) others in your local Apple development community. To one lucky attendee, we'll also give away a copy of Reveal (thanks to Itty Bitty Apps). Look forward to seeing you there!

When you get to River City Labs, take the lift to the second floor. If no one is waiting at the door, call Ben [masked]) or Matt [masked]) and we'll come get you.

Holy smokes Roger - nice catch :)

Reading through that SO answer (and the linked articles), it makes total sense that the m34 modification should happen before other transforms are applied.

For other folks, I've merged Roger's pull request if you want to see how it's done.

Hi Ben. I had a crack at fixing the interactive transition. Is that what you intended? I submitted a pull request on GitHub.

Thanks Mark. Transitioning is a big topic and a tough one to talk about it turns out :) Hopefully I at least gave you a taste of some of the effects you can achieve.

For those who're interested, the slides are up at and the code is at

If anyone wants to try and solve the interactive transition, I'd love to hear how you get on :)

    Cheers, B.

I enjoyed the talks. Ben's talk on animation was particularly interesting, and gave an insight into animations. Though of course there was a lot that I was not able to absorb.
