Ruby on Rails Study Group: Chapters 1 & 2 of the RoR Tutorial

 

We're going to learn Rails by going through Michael Hartl's Ruby on Rails tutorial book, which is available online for free. This Sunday we'll be going over chapters 1 & 2 so be sure to read them and walk through the instructions before coming to the session.

 

Prerequisites:

- A laptop computer

- Install Sublime Text on your machine

- Know some HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript

- Install Rails: http://railsinstaller.org/

- Walk through this quick intro to Ruby: http://tryruby.org/levels/1/challenges/0
