Interested in developing something around a small microcomputer - like the Arduino or MSP430 line of processors?

I have a number of Freetronics Eleven's (Arduino Uno compatible - 8 available), Freetronics Leosticks (8 or 10) and Texas Instruments MSP430 starter kits (6) available to dabble with. The Arduino comes with its own IDE (the Arduino IDE) which is C based, and the MSP430 has the equivalent in Energia.

We will be experimenting with various stuff you can put on the devices, have breadboards and talk and show extra devices you can put onto the boards.

All you need is a laptop or a friend with a laptop.

If I can get my MezzoMill PCB milling tool working in a future session we can make our own PCB's.

I enjoyed myself, it cemented some explanations for me. I was able to pass that on - and lucky have the bits to show some interesting projects off.

I've got stuff on atm but I would definitely make time to see the PCB milling machine if you got that working!

Thanks for inviting me, guys. Would have definitely made it had I not broken my toe over Christmas, so can't drive for the next month or so.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
