“ I think it would be very helpful if we came up with a way to identify specific interest groups within the crowd of attendees. At the last event, I had some difficulty finding people who were into web design and development (specifically, HTML5/CSS3 from scratch). Maybe color-coded name tags? I did want to have conversations about the direction of web development and current trends, but found it a challenge to find people with similar interests other than by the shotgun approach of simply going up to many strangers and asking them... time-consuming and not very effective. Also, as a first-timer, I would have found it helpful to have a greeter at the door to point people in the direction of the venue. I found that another group was meeting in the same building, and as I simply followed the sound of voices as I came in the front door, I ended up going to the wrong area at first. Just a suggestion. ”

“ It is a great way to network. Everyone was willing to help and support you. Early on it was quiet and everyone was busily at their computer screens. Around 10 folks became talkative and my midnight it was a party, but without the music and dancing; but none the less the energy was high. Thanks Gabe for opening up your office. ”

“ It's an 'anything' group for coders. The organizer is willing to just let it become what those attending want it to become. Whatever that happens to be, it will be great for networking and learning, regardless of your level of knowledge and experience. ”
