HTML5 & CSS3 - Build Something! (Part 2)

HTML5 & CSS3 - Build Something! (Part 2)

This meetup will teach a few selected HTML5 and CSS3 topics, then allow attendees to build something with what they learn. Teaching Assistants from the Coding Dojo courses will be present to help you build something, so bring your ideas with you.

Note: Unlike previous meetups, this one and some future hands-on meetups will have a small cost to cover the venue :) Don't worry, we're still planning on keeping our normal guest speaker meetups free.

Venue/Directions: This meetup will be held at the Coding Dojo office in Sunnyvale, CA. We are close to Highways 101 and 237, mid-way between both the Sunnyvale and Mountain View Caltrain stations, and within a few blocks from VTA Light Rail stations. Follow the signs for the meetup, where you will enter the building from the parking lot on the left side of the building.

What to Bring/Preparation: Please bring your laptop (fully charged if possible), as well as headphones to allow you to view supplemental video content. Please have a developer text editor installed prior to the meetup. We recommend Notepad++ (Windows) or Sublime (Mac).

*If possible, please come 10-15 minutes early so we can start the session on time. We have very limited seating at this meetup. If you are not able to attend, please change your RSVP status so others can attend.

Tentative agenda for the meetup:

7:00-7:15 pm: Introduction

7:15-7:45 pm: Training Presentation

7:45-8:45 pm: Hands-on coding/application

8:45-9:00 pm: Homework assignments and closing

The basic philosophy of the meeting was sound. The assistance from the Coding Dojo staff was very helpful.

If you use MapQuest, be sure to correct the typo in the advert listing Zip code: correct is 94085, not[masked] ! using[masked] will steer you to Stevens Creek Blvd Cupertino! - Michael
