Guest Speaker - Robert Mulder on Migrating Your Site for Mobile Optimization

Guest Speaker: Robert Mulder

Robert has over 20 years of programming experience, and has spent time at Novell, Overstock.com, Omniture, as well as several startups, including SpotLikes. He is currently at Accenture in San Jose. Robert has a B.S. in CIS from Humboldt State University, and a M.S. in Computer Science from BYU.

Robert has extensive experience in back-end technologies like PHP, and has recently spent more time in Ruby on Rails and front-end development. He's currently focusing on mobile based layout and JavaScript-heavy Rich Client/Singe Page Application type technologies.

Venue/Directions: This meetup will be held at the Coding Dojo office in Sunnyvale, CA. We are close to Highways 101 and 237, mid-way between both the Sunnyvale and Mountain View Caltrain stations, and within a few blocks from VTA Light Rail stations. Follow the signs for the meetup, where you will enter the building from the parking lot on the left side of the building.

What to Bring/Preparation: Please bring your laptop (fully charged if possible), as well as headphones to allow you to view supplemental video content (if applicable). It's also good to have a developer text editor installed prior to the meetup. We recommend Notepad++ (Windows) or Sublime (Mac).

*If possible, please come 10-15 minutes early so we can start the session on time. We have very limited seating at this meetup. If you are not able to attend, please change your RSVP status so others can attend.

Tentative agenda for the meetup:

7 - 7:15 pm: Introduction

7:15 - 8:15 pm: Training Presentation

8:15 - 8:30 pm: Closing
