Brunch Easter Sunday at The Blake House

The Blake House was built in 1891 by architects Knox & Elliot and is one of the last standing heritage structures in Toronto mixing late 19th century Victorian and Second Empire architecture. The building gets its name because the building’s first owner was Honourable Edward Blake who was the second premier of Ontario and leader of the federal liberal party between 1878-1887.

The building has been nicely restored into a nice restaurant and bar and serves comfort and contemporary cuisine. Some of the pictures inside even show what things were like in the old days. The restaurant has a lot of historical charm for an Easter Sunday brunch.

Meetup Fee:
There is a $2 per person Meetup fee for this event.

Meetup Etiquette:
If you RSVP “yes” and change your mind about attending, please update your RSVP.
Those who RSVP “yes” are expected to show up.
You are expected to be at the event on time. In situations where you are late and the restaurant is full, your seat will be given away and not held, so please be on-time.
Attendance will be taken at all events and “no shows” will be tracked.
A person may be removed from the group for repeatedly being a “no show”.
A person who changes their RSVP to “no” with less than 3 hours before the start of an event without a good reason will be considered a “no show”.
A person who just briefly shows up at the event but does not stay at the restaurant for the meal will still be considered a “no show”.

    Had a wonderful time, great place, and food! Prices were reasonable. Love the fact that it's an old house. Has a great patio to try in the summer. Enjoyed chatting too, yes it was a bit hard to talk and hear, but still an awesome place.

    The food and location were excellent, enjoyed chatting with my table mates but... acoustics awful. It became next to impossible to speak to more than the person next to me and a group conversation was beyond the realms of the possible. This is an issue with a number of restaurants, not just the Blake House. Shouting at each other is NOT the answer!
