There has been a suggestion to get a bite to eat at Chicks
Drive In across the street from the West Haven Beach.
Then go for a walk on the West Haven Board Walk to
Enjoy the scenery and work off the meal.

If you are a power walker, then go on a head.
The rest of us will be farther back walking at our own speed.

Directions to West Haven Beaches
From Interstate 95
I-95 Northbound
Take exit 42. Turn left at the end of the exit.
Follow beach signs 3 miles to Captain Thomas Boulevard.
Public parkings lots are in both directions.
Turn right onto Captain Thomas Boulevard.
Travel 1 1/2 miles to the South Street public parking lot, the fourth lot on the left.
Turn left onto Captain Thomas Boulevard.
Travel about 1 mile through two traffic lights and turn right at the stop sign.
Follow the water along Beach Street.
The Morse Park public parking lot is a 1/2 mile on the left, after Chicks Drive In.
I-95 Southbound
Take exit 43. Turn left at the end of the exit.
Follow beach signs about 1 1/2 miles to the water.
The Morse Park public parking lot is on the right, 100 yards past Captains
Galley Restaurant on Beach Street.
Hours
West Haven beaches are open daily from 9:00 am to dusk.
Lifeguards are on duty from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Daily Parking Rates
$10 (9:00 am to 4:00 pm)
$5 (after 4:00 pm)
