Real Case Studies from Social IQ Networks and Spinnakr
Wednesday, November 14, 2012
What does it take to grow your business from a mere concept to securing your first round of funding beyond your credit card and friends & family? Come listen to real case studies from successfully funded entrepreneurs, and the investors who fund them, on what it takes to get funded today, and why.
- If Color can raise $40M just on a concept, why am I having so much trouble raising a lousy few hundred thousand?
- I’ve created a prototype, my buddies all think it’s great, so why do I need co-founders?
- Do I need to have customer traction? And if so, what does this mean – a few hundred, tens of thousands, a million, or what?
- Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter all had huge valuations without any revenue, so what’s all the fuss about scalable business models?
- Why am I having so much difficulty getting interest in raising $500K at a $10M valuation? This seems perfectly reasonable when you read of Square raising $20M on a >$2B valuation
