A Combined Coin and Stamp Collecting Meet Up!

A general discussion with Q&A about collecting: why, what and how! We'll also talk about casual and manic collecting and best ways to pursue your goals. Other topics include grading, "slabs," investing, buying and selling bullion (coins), where to buy or trade, housing and storing your collection, postal history, resources and using the Internet. Any topic is fair game! After our presentation, we'll break up into 2 groups to continue our hobby talk. There will be free stamps, coins, magazines, books, catalogues, albums, stock books as well as other accessories for the taking. After all these years, I'm cleaning out my closets. Door prizes will also be awarded: a Red Book, a 5 piece US proof set for the coin people and some scarce US proofs of early classical stamps. Everyone gets a copy of Scott # US 948, the official 1947 souvenir sheet containing reproductions of the 1st US issue, 5c Franklin and 10c Washington. Come enjoy yourselves! NO RARE COINS OR STAMPS WILL BE BROUGHT TO THIS MEETUP. Nothing for sale!
