ABOUT THIS SESSION:

We will have an extra special session of the CF Meetup, on *Monday* July 13 at noon (US EDT). Adobe CF Evangelist Terry Ryan will present "Centaur and Bolt Uncensored", the two-hour ultimate user group tour event.

TOPIC DESCRIPTION:

Join us for this special one-time only event, on a special day: while Adobe has been doing Centaur/Bolt user group tour event over the past few weeks, at each meeting they've shared more and different things. This event will be the capstone tour event, revealing all the features shared to this point, and more. Adobe ColdFusion Evangelist Terry Ryan assures me that nothing will be held back as he talks about both Centaur and Bolt.

While this will be recorded, like all meetings, it's a unique chance to get your questions answered as well as hear the most info yet available on Centaur (the next release of ColdFusion) and Bolt (the new CFML integrated development environment). Spread the word, pointing people to this page for more information, and join us online on the day at experts.acrobat.com/cfmeetup.

SPEAKER:

Terrence Ryan is now a Platform Evangelist for Adobe, promoting the entire Adobe Platform: Flash, Flex, Air, ColdFusion, LiveCycle, Flash Catalyst, and BlazeDS. He currently has a slight edge in ColdFusion, and AIR using HTML and Javascript. In addition to those focuses he has an overriding goal: get Adobe platform technologies taught in the classrooms of higher education. He blogs at http://www.terrencery...

RECORDING: As always, the meeting will be recorded, and the recording URL will be posted after the meeting at http://recordings.col....

PODCAST/DOWNLOADABLE RECORDINGS:
We are still attempting to make this meeting available as a downloadable recording. If/when available, they will be listed on the recordings page within a few days of the meeting.

LOGGING IN: When you login to the Connect room (the experts.acrobat.com/cfmeetup link above) to view the meeting, PLEASE USE THE "LOGIN AS GUEST" option, and USE YOUR NAME, but do NOT attempt to use your meetup.com username/password or any Connect account. Just sign in as a guest.

RSVP, but only if coming: We do appreciate folks RSVPing if they plan to come (using the link on this email or at the meetup site), though it's not mandatory and it's not a commitment. But there's no need to RSVP if you can't make it let alone explain why you can't. With over 1,700 members, no worries. :-)

FEEDBACK/MEETING DISCUSSION: Members will receive an email after the meeting or can click a link on the event page to offer. Note also the meeting-specific discussion area there at the bottom, in addition to the one-chance feedback feature on the right. Feel free to engage in discussions about the meeting topic.

ADD THIS TO YOUR CALENDAR: Want to add this event to your own personal calendar? See link on the right of the event page saying, "Add this meeting to your calendar", which offers links to get calendar downloads for Outlook, iCal, Google, and Yahoo calendars.

    •  It was really nice to have a view of what is coming, as someone who hasn't been to another CFUG or a conference this year. One thing is that he went a little long. The presentation was intended for 2 hrs without allowing questions.
    •  Great presentation! Looking forward to watching the recording since I had to pop out a couple of times during the preso and missed some stuff...
    •  It was a really good session with Terry, Adam, and everyone else.
    •  Plenty of great information on CF9 and Bolt. Pricing is still under wraps apparently, but it was good to actually see some of the new code in action, instead of just snippets on various blogs.
    •  I am extremely excited after listening to Terry for ColdFusion 9 and CF Builder. I have already downloaded a copy of CF Builder and love it and I am going to download CF 9 tonight.
    •  Just had some audio issues.
    •  Our biggest turnout by far. Great topic, great presenter.
    •  Sound kept dropping out at the beginning
    •  Lots of problems with audio cutting in and out. Seemed to be happening to many of the attendees. Presenter was great, useful information.

While I was very excited about the content and I am sure the presentation was better than I was able to hear, I was having a very hard time following the presentation due to audio problems. I seem to have this problem frequently with the Connect sessions. Today I did not seem to be alone. I have complained to Adobe but as was mentioned audio problems are a difficult issue and can be outside anyone's ability to fix. I will watch for the recorded session. Thanks
    •  A great presentation on CF9 and CF Builder.
    •  There were audio issues on Terry's side but that was basically due to his computer performance during the presentation. Other than that, everything was great.
    •  excellent presentation, I am really looking forward to the new CF9 features, time to go dl the betas
    •  good overview -- had audio problems
    •  Great presentation but audio was very spotty.
    •  It was a great preview of Centaur and Bolt
    •  It was great to have this presentation on the day of the release - thanks to Terry & Charlie - and also to Ray, Adam & others who joined and helped with questions. We need a lot more of these!
    •  Awesome presentation! Received a lot of good info about CF9 and CF Builder.
    •  The audio issue, which seemed to occur mostly when Terry was using software on his PC, was a negative. It was hard to stay focused and follow the thread. Because of the audio issue, it seems like the bandwidth for the number of people trying to attend was not large enough. I found the presentation a bit disjointed.
    •  Lot of good information. Audio was occasionally spotty.
    • Joe
