Our speaker on Thursday, Apr 17, at noon (US EDT), will be Steve Bryant, who will present on "Introducing sebForm". This is kind of a one year anniversary event, as Steve was our 2nd speaker after the re-establishing of the meetup in April of 2007 (technically the 12th, with a talk by Jake Munson).

The cf_sebForm custom tag simplifies development of simple forms. It separates logic and display, integrates with CFCs, and manages validation. The output is unobtrusive and skinnable.

In this short presentation you will see how to use cf_sebForm to create a simple contact forms, integrate with CFCs, manage validations (both type and business logic), upload files, and reduce spam.

Steve Bryant has been programming with ColdFusion since 1999. He currently runs the Tulsa CFUG and teaches ColdFusion classes from time to time. He has written articles for CFDJ and is the author of the DataMgr component set.

Steve Bryant is the owner of Bryant Web Consulting LLC (www.bryantwebconsulting.com) and teaches ColdFusion at Breakaway Interactive (www.breakawayinteractive.com). He got his BA in Philosophy at Oklahoma State University and still has no idea how that led to a career in Web development. He can be reached at [masked].

LOGGING IN: When you login to the Connect room (the experts.acrobat.com/cfmeetup link above) to view the meeting, PLEASE USE THE "LOGIN AS GUEST" option, and use your real name, but do NOT attempt to use your meetup.com username/password. The login screen presented there has no connection to meetup.com. And if you have a real Connect account, don't use that either. Just sign in as a guest. It's just not worth the time to try to track who RSVPs and add them manually as participants in each meeting. You have no fewer features as a guest as when you would login with your own account.
