ABOUT THIS SESSION:

Our 6pm (US ET) talk on Thursday Sep 24 will be Sidney Maestre presenting , "Mango Blog Skinning Start to Finish".

TOPIC DESCRIPTION:

Mango Blog is an open source blogging engine. You can customize the look through downloadable "themes". This presentation will focusing on taking a WordPress theme and adapting it for use in Mango Blog. Our focus will be the mango tags and mango extra tags used in themes. The techniques in this presentation can also be applied to your own designs as well. http://www.mangoblog....

SPEAKER:
Sid Maestre
[masked]

Graduating with a History degree I never thought I'd have a career in programming. I discovered ColdFusion in 1998 (version 3.1) and was immediately impressed with the power of a few simple tags. I've done consulting over the years through my company design over matter. I also worked for roundpeg consulting in 2000-2002.

I joined the Bay Area ColdFusion User Group as co-manager in July 2008 and became the manager in April 2009.

Follow me on Twitter at "SidneyAllen".

When I'm not coding you'll find me playing with my two daughters Madeleine (age 4) and Olivia (21 months). Those rare moments I get for myself are spent mountain biking, snowboarding or running.

RECORDING: As always, the meeting will be recorded, and the recording URL will be posted after the meeting at http://recordings.col....

PODCAST/DOWNLOADABLE RECORDINGS:
We are still attempting to make this meeting available as a downloadable recording. If/when available, they will be listed on the recordings page within a few days of the meeting. Until then, you can find discussion of the challenges creating such downloadable recordings here.

LOGGING IN: When you login to the Connect room (the experts.acrobat.com/cfmeetup link above) to view the meeting, PLEASE USE THE "LOGIN AS GUEST" option, and USE YOUR NAME, but do NOT attempt to use your meetup.com username/password or any Connect account. Just sign in as a guest.

RSVP, but only if coming: We do appreciate folks RSVPing if they plan to come (using the link on this email or at the meetup site), though it's not mandatory and it's not a commitment. But there's no need to RSVP if you can't make it let alone explain why you can't. With over 1,900 members, no worries. :-)

FEEDBACK/MEETING DISCUSSION: Members will receive an email after the meeting or can click a link on the event page to offer. Note also the meeting-specific discussion area there at the bottom, in addition to the one-chance feedback feature on the right. Feel free to engage in discussions about the meeting topic.

ADD THIS TO YOUR CALENDAR: Want to add this event to your own personal calendar? See link on the right of the event page saying, "Add this meeting to your calendar", which offers links to get calendar downloads for Outlook, iCal, Google, and Yahoo calendars.

Oh man! This meetup will be at midnight here. Can't you do it at least an hour earlier? :)

With the smiley emoticon I'm hoping the request is in jest. :-) I realize the timeslots don't always work for everyone. The 6pm ET slots better suit those in AsiaPac, while the 12pm ET slots better suit those in Europe. I'd be willing to have sessions at 7am ET or 11pm ET, if I had speakers willing to present.

Just to be clear, the meetings are all recorded.

Of course it was in jest! :) Don't worry about me, mine was probably a dumb question to ask. :) Do whatever you feel is best. BTW, thank you for hosting all those meetups. And for recording all of them! :)

Ok, thanks. Just wanted to clarify, as much for those who may read this. Thanks for the kind regards.
