ABOUT THIS SESSION:
Our 6pm (US ET) talk on Thursday Dec 10 will be "Homebrewed ColdFusion Monitoring", with Wil Genovese.
TOPIC DESCRIPTION: (provided by the speaker)
Knowing how your ColdFusion server is running can be one of the most important aspects of your online business. If your server is running slow, pausing or crashing you may be missing critical performance information if you're not running a monitoring package.
There are several commercial monitoring packages available and Adobe ColdFusion Enterprise 8 and 9 both come with their own monitoring tools. Each tool has their pros and cons and depending on your needs, ColdFusion version and budget you may find that writing your own monitoring tools is the best solution for you.
In this talk, Wil shows you how to brew your own ColdFusion monitoring tools. These tools will let you see some of the basic information needed to get insight into how your ColdFusion server is performing
SPEAKER: (provided by the speaker)
Wil Genovese is a Sr. Web Application Developer with WolfNet Technologies, LLC who has been programming with CFML since 1998, and in general since 1984. Over the years he’s developed strong skills in ColdFusion, databases, server administration and project/product planning, with side skills including Linux systems administration and PostgreSQL server. He’s taken a special interest in server side only coding and has written the ColdFusion monitoring tools now used at WolfNet.
RECORDING: As always, the meeting will be recorded, and the recording URL will be posted after the meeting at http://recordings.col....
