Announcing a new Meetup for The Online ColdFusion Meetup!

What: "Boost Your Client's IQ: Smart Prototypes w/ TrafficMunkey", Pete Oliver-Krueger

Our 12pm (US ET) talk on Thursday Nov 18 will be "Boost Your Client's IQ: Smart Prototypes w/ TrafficMunkey". with Peter Oliver-Krueger.

TOPIC DESCRIPTION: (provided by the speaker)

Do you use prototypes? You should. Clients tend to follow the WYSIWYF principle, "What You See Is What You FORGOT!" Once they see something in action, then they can immediately tell you what's wrong with it, why it won't work for them, and what they want it to do instead. Towards the end of a project, this can be a disaster, but if you can move the show-and-tell to the beginning of your project, WYSIWYF can be an asset. It's one of the few things that a) you can add to any project, b) will shorten your timeline, c) will relieve stress, and d) will improve communication and collaboration between you and your clients.

For this presentation, we'll use the new ColdFusion framework: TrafficMunkey. TrafficMunkey was built from the ground up to facilitate rapid prototyping for those beginning stages of a project where everything keeps changing on a daily basis. But it is also robust enough to handle advanced application architectures, so it keeps working for you, throughout the life of your project.
