Should we permit commercial emails regarding CF-related services on the list?

Someone sent a note to the CF meetup mailing list clearly promoting their services. While some don't mind a mention of services in the context of an otherwise helpful email regarding a list discussion, others don't like seeing commercial mail on a list at all, for fear that it could open floodgates. What do you think? Should we or should we not permit them?
