Affordable and sustainbale housing and public transport, gender equality, greater fuding for the arts, more people riding bikes and growing their own food, open borders and support for Assylum Seekers, the list goes on!
I have been involved in a range of independent projects from urban reforestation to the women’s circus which have contributed in small ways to fostering a better sense of community and new ways of living. In my current role at council I advocate on behalf of asylum seekers and new settlement communities to achieve greater understanding of their needs amongst established Australian communities. I am currently developing anti-racism workshops to be implemented in local high schools and an art exhibition which underpins racial stereotypes in mainstream media.
