I'm really interested in the new forms of participation that are cropping up, powered (sometimes) by social tech. We're heading towards a time where anyone who really wants to participate in a discussion - global or local - has the capacity to do so, and I think that's pretty cool.
I'm having a lot of fun experimenting with new conversation, facilitation and engagement techniques and am constantly (and cheerfully) surprised at the appetite for new ways of looking at solving problems, wicked or otherwise.
I'm inspired by the Ushahidi team - to me, they are the quintessential case study for how social tech can make social change.
Hi - I'm a keen advocate of collaborative approaches to change initiatives, particularly in the public sphere. I 'walk the talk' through my professional activities with @Cofluence, as well as through voluntary initiatives like @CivicTEC.
