Come walk the parade route with our very own Libertarian Candidate for Tx State Senate (SD8), Ed Kless. If you are interested, email Christine Kless . They are asking for volenteers to wear "Elect Ed Kless" TShirts and pass out candy. http://www.planoparade.net/index.php Date & Time: Saturday, July 3, 2010, 9:00 a.m. start time Parade Route: Independence Parkway, starting at Plano Senior High School (Park) going north to Spring Creek Parkway, ending at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church Line Up: 7:00 a.m. Pre-Assigned Rows. Parade begins at 9:00 a.m. Judging on Independence Pkwy. Arrival Information: There will be NO ENTRANCES to the parade line-up area from Park Boulevard. Go to the North end of Plano Senior High on Independence Parkway and turn East at Parkhaven (there’s a signal here.) Go past Haggard Middle School and at the stop sign turn right (South) on Westside Drive. Follow Westside to the entrance of the East Parking Lot at Plano Senior High. There will be access to portable bathrooms in the morning and there is parking at the Senior High, just not in the east lot where the parade will be staged. Streets will begin closing at 8:30 am. You will not be able to park in the “staging area” or east parking lot. We will be there at 7 am – plan to arrive by 8 am. Come earlier if you want. Our assigned Row number is 6 – we will be in a blue Honda Pilot with a trailer on the back. Parade begins at 9 am, regardless of weather. Depending on the weather, you may choose to bring an umbrella/rain coat. They expect 1,000 people in the parking lot – please be careful and patient.

Hugely successful event! We must have passed out a thousand party and campaign flyers. Great turnout and well organized. Thanks to all those who participated for their support!

I thought it went great. Over 1,000 pieces of literature handed out. My "I am running for office but I am not a politician" message seemed to resonate with many folks along the parade route. Thanks to all who turned out to walk with us!
