We will be meeting at the Fainting Goat one more time because their tasty snacks, drink specials, and free parking make us happy. I am doing a little reconnaissance for new venues though, so if you know of a wonderful location in Denver that is not too loud (or crowded) mid week, and offers a nice beverage selection and food, please let me know. Also just an FYI: for the next few months we will be gathering on Wednesdays instead of Thursdays to accommodate some higher learning on my part :)
So let's get started with some starter questions! Here's what we have so far, but please send more:
1) If you were genetically pre-disposed for a certain cancer, would you be willing to have a body part surgically removed before cancer was detected to avoid the illness completely? Would it depend on which part?
2) If tests showed that your unborn child were to have a genetic defect, would you consider terminating the pregnancy?
As always, please be courteous with your RSVP's--I have been fortunate to find venues that A) don't charge us to be there (a fee that would inevitably trickle down to all of you), and B) provide us with our own server. Unfortunately, last month's gathering was less almost 1/2 of the expected turn-out. Thus, our server was sad because their anticipated income fell short. (Personally, I HATE it when my anticipated income falls short)! So please, out of respect for EVERYONE involved with making our Meetups AWESOME, please be considerate and RSVP accurately before the event.
Thank you very much--see you all in a couple weeks! Cheers!
