Due to the cancellation of last month's study, Bro. Byron Gorrell will present his topic at the April study group:
On the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 P.M. the Masonic Philosophical Society will be hosting a study group. Each month host a different topic, ranging from philosophy and science to religion and metaphysics, which is discussed and debated. This month’s topic will be presented by Brother Byron Gorrell on Freemasonry and Leadership: What is the purpose of leadership? Please arrive at 5:45 P.M. so the discussion can begin promptly at 6:00 P.M.
Many definitions exist for leadership. It has been defined as “an act or instance of leading; guidance; direction…” or …"a process of social influence in which one person can enlist the aid and support of others in the accomplishment of a common task…” Regardless the source of definition, leadership involves people and is commonly thought of as the process or discipline of directing or guiding these people towards a common objective. So what is the purpose of leadership? Our public schools, society, employment, even Freemasonry, all encourage us to develop leadership traits, but why? Why is Leadership so important? Join us as Brother Gorrell as he gives a Masonic perspective on the value of Leadership.
This group for men and women, which is open to the public, is where non-members can learn more about Freemasonry, as well as meet local Freemasons.
