I really appreciate any and all people trying to run a meet up group - it is a lot if work! Thank you! And the walk wasn't the responsibility of this group. I don't think there is anything wrong with a little constructive and honest feedback to Farm Sanctuary - I don't think they made any errors intentionally and it will only help to make next years better hopefully. I've even put my time where my mouth is and offered to help organize if needed. I'm not a 'consumer' of this kind of action - I'm a partner. My two cents - have a wonderful day! Looking forward to the gentle thanksgiving!

Farm Animal Sanctuary should send a link to a survey to all who registered. I mentioned some similar concerns - primarily that the end activities fell flat because there were so few people left - and I'd heard one of the volunteer organizers directing ppl at the end to go and enjoy the farmers market instead of encouraging them to go to the bandshell... Etc-plus the route we took was very low key with little to no exposure. The reaction back was sadly a little defensive. The response was that they had heard that about 75% had stayed - not 25% like I had said. They said people in the animal rights community don't like to chant and they couldn't walk Pearl because there are no dogs allowed. (Though not all of Pearl includes the mall which I'm not sure they are aware of). :-/ anyway - hopefully things will go better next year. It bothers me a bit that these critters are suffering everyday and we are too timid to walk busy streets, chant and make sure people come together to rally.

Great walk, just would have been nice to see a much bigger turnout from this community on such a beautiful day.

Here is what is really sad: about 150 people are so excited about Thanksliving next month, but hardly anyone walking for farm animals. It is beyond sad. I feel that much more focus should have gone into this event. Boulder dropped the ball.
