Our 5th Annual Cookie/Bar/Cupcake exchange

I'm still figuring out all the details so feel free to chime in with your ideas and input.
My thoughts are that everyone who wants to be part of this would bring with them two dozen home baked cookies. You can make 24 of the same cookies or half of one kind and half of another. They can also be bars, truffles, muffins etc. you get the idea.

Along with the cookie you bring a index card size of the cookie ingredients and recipe.

At the end of the exchange we all walk away with a variety of two dozen baked goods that we can either eat ourselves or give away to friends/co workers that may not know the deliciousness of vegan baked goods and hopefully get them to use one of the recipes included in the gift box.

keep in mind that whatever you bring should be amenable to packing and holding it's own for a day or two and ideally can be frozen for later use or shipping.

i'll send more details to those who rsvp YES but in the meantime feel free to chime in with your ideas and suggestions.

This won't be a potluck bc I think it's too much for people to make a potluck dish and bring baked goods. I will provide hot chocolate and apple cider. We had a really great variety last year and the folks I gave my "collection" to still talk about a year later.

This is tasty vegan out reach!

ps- I will have tins that I will collect from thrift stores.

It was great - thanks everybody for sharing your cookies and bars! I'm looking forward to sharing my haul, and vegan messaging, with other friends.

So much fun, with nice people, yummy cookies for later and delicious appetizers! What a great way to spend an afternoon! Why is it that do we only do this around the holidays?!? :o)

I just got home. My appt ran reallllly late and then I needed to buy some graham crackers. Alas, I'm guessing I will be too late for the party, since it's already 1:35pm. :(
