Mainly health reasons, after researching it a bit I feel that a whole foods, plant based diet is the most ideal diet and I want to be healthy and fit for many years, as well as have the highest level of athletic performance I can achieve. I also feel that the environmental and animal aspects are super important as well.
Social activities and easy ways to meet other like minded people, and activities/information geared towards athletes.
I struggle with feeling confident about this lifestyle, and if it's possible to still be a high level athlete on this diet. I also don't know any other vegans in Boulder so I don't have a ton of support.
I'm a student at CU and level road cyclist/trail runner who is passionate about plant-based nutrition, health, and fitness.
