I searched vegetarian groups on meetup
I've been borderline for years, not daring to think to closely about the meat I ate because it already troubled me. A year ago I was asked to sign a petition against Walmart since they use a pork supplier that uses gestation crates and I watched the video because I didn't know why that was an issue. I couldn't stand seeing animals being treated so horribly and I vowed not to contribute to the suffering of animals by eating meat. Now I am looking at removing dairy and eggs which will be more of an adjustment.
I'm open most anything but a vegan/vegetarian 101 would be an awesome way for established people to share their knowledge and skills with newbies like me and my sons.
I certainly haven't mastered tofu nor have I found any tools that help me make sure I am providing proper nutrition on a daily basis. I've search for an online tool but they all fall short; I am hoping I missed something that someone in the group has found.
I've became a lacto-ovo vegetarian diet for nearly a year ago and my son and I are going vegan. I enjoy connecting with others with similar ideas for fun and sharing ideas.
I am a vegetarian and at the pot luck everyone I spoke to was very kind, open and accepting so overall it was a positive night.
