I'm a CU retiree and would like to spend time occasionally with people who value conscious/compassion
ate eating. I write, do art (http://www.lcsart...
) and volunteer at the Boulder humane society.
From a friend.
I have been interested in compassionate eating for many years. My intro to vegetarianism was macrobiotics back in the 1970s, and I have been vegetarian/vegan--on and off--for over 30 years.
I'm interested in informal gatherings such as discussion groups, pot lucks, etc.
I'm new to the group. I'm grateful to find other people who are practicing or working toward practicing cruelty-free eating. I remember when Boulder was a haven for vegetarianism, and so much has changed--in my own life, I'm still working on reducing the conflict between what I say are my values/beliefs/world view and my day-to-day behavior, and I see that as a lifelong process. Thanks to all of you I've met (and those I've yet to meet) for sharing your journeys, as well.
