Thank you so much for your feedback April and for reconsidering this event.
I think your intent of creating community among the student body is an important endeavor and I applaud you for taking this on. Good for you!
And I also applaude you for quickly withdrawing the Turkey Bowling event. I have no doubt that you will find other effective community building activities for your student body.
Best wishes to you in building a thriving community at FRCC.

Subject: Turkey Bowling
Dear Ms. Kling,
I apologize for any misunderstanding or discomfort that I may have caused you. The purpose of Turkey Bowling was to celebrate the upcoming holiday of Thanksgiving. After students had the opportunity of bowling a frozen turkey into six bowling pins, the turkey would have been cooked, brought back to school, and enjoyed by the student body. I have facilitated this event at the last institution I worked at for over four years and we cooked the turkey every time after the bowling event. One of our objectives here at FRCC is to build community among the students though positive activities and events. We do not wish to offend anyone and so we cancelled this event. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.
