RE: [bouldervegans] Free Samples!

Hi Ann,

I’m not so sure that’s a good idea. I’m pretty sure Patty is right, to use this list as leads does seem wrong. I run my own business called www.DollarsAndHemp.com where you can make money by referring people to use or sell hemp based health products, but have never tried to market it here because it doesn’t seem like it’s right, until now. Once you have one person doing it, another one will, and then another one, and eventually it will just turn in to a low quality/value marketing list. Or it could anyhow. Notice how I got my website plugged in there? It’s just too tempting once you see someone else doing it. Local brick and mortar businesses are a completely different thing than direct marketing, multi-level marketing, etc.

Hey Y'all,

Instead of leaving the group (our community) over these things, let's ask that we use the message boards for member businesses, like we use them for restaurant ads and other things?

Thank you!

Ann

I don't like being marketed to. This is a space for me to learn and share ideas and lifestyles with a community who shares my values. I've been part of this listserv for years. I've weathered, even been part of, heated ideological debates. Those are healthy and sponsor critical dialogue. And, I appreciate it when members share new vegan products that they love and/or new businesses that support vegans and the lifestyle that's our namesake.

I do not appreciate being a targeted population for sales. I find this highly inappropriate. When this type of corporate marketing infiltrates communities that I belong to for inspiration and support, they lose their meaning.

I'm unsubscribing specifically because of this shameless marketing ploy.

Hi everyone,
I loved the potluck on Saturday the food was awesome as usual.  I just wanted to send out a note to all of you that attended and took a free sample of Mila.  I hope you used the sample and added the whole raw food to your diet.   I would love to talk to you if you are open to ordering this amazing food.  If you were not there and want to know more about Mila and the health benefits I would love to talk to you too.  Mila is a proprietary blend of 8 chia seeds.  The seeds are opened up by a cold slicing machine so we get more bio availability.  It has 3000 mg of Omega 3's per serving, 5 g fiber, antioxidants, phytonutrients, vitamins, minerals, and it is a pure plant based protein.  (you will not get the same nutrition if you go and buy chia seed at the store If you want to know why call me!)  This is the most nutrient dense food on the planet.  Us as vegans can truly appreciate the health aspects and the nutrient aspects of this amazing food.
Anyone who did not get a free sample reach out to me and I am happy to give you one. This is also an incredible business if you are open to earning additional income part time, add it to something you already do in the wellness industry, or want to do it full time I would love to tell you more.  My number is [masked]
Have a wonderful healthy happy day.
Laura Stout
