Re: [boulderandbeyondvegans] Garbonzo's and whey in their pita

Hi All,

At the bottom of each email, there are links to help you adjust your options for receiving email from this group.  Please take a moment to look at it.

Personally, I appreciate these conversations.  They are mostly educational and they are part of the community offering.  I delete what I don't what to read.  Easy breezy.  As an organizer of other groups, I know there are others who are on the email lists for those reasons and that is how they are meant to be used.  Just because you don't want email, doesn't mean others should have to do without, especially since you have the option to have a daily digest or be off it altogether.  Every organizer has a different way they want their lists and message boards to be used.  It isn't up to the membership, but each of us have control over our own options when we are fortunate to have an organizer who allows us to have a list we can use to communicate with each other.

CHECK IT OUT...

and please set your options as you see fit.

Message boards are for messages, and are not conversation friendly.

Thanks,

Ann

fried food, vegan or otherwise, changes the molecular structure of the foods and kills most of  the value anyway... might as well eat a snickers candy bar...

Conclusion - don't eat out anywhere but vegan only places. They all fry there food in same oil as meat and cheese. Use same gross meat counters, pans etc... And most lie anyway. Enough talk about this.

Conclusion:-)
I went to Harpo's last night. The waitress was very friendly, and I had great sweet potato fries and guacamole with chips. I'm not sure why, when I called, they wouldn't offer that information. The person who answered the phone went to talk to the chefs/cooks to ask whether anything, like fries, were vegan. They just told her that they didn't have anything vegan at all at Harpo's.

Again, I'm not sure why, but my phone call to Boulder Cafe had the same results. I never ended up going to Boulder Cafe, but I was pleasantly surprised that Harpo's could accommodate. And, since I didn't get sick, I'm comfortable saying that it was fully vegan. (My body is very sensitive.)

Why anyone would just say that nothing is vegan when they do have some vegan food? I don't understand... but then, I'm not sure why many people don't signal when driving. (Except for lack of awareness or consideration. )

Have a great day, everyone!
