thanks for coming out last night!

what a wonderful fall gathering we had last night. these events go so fast, they feel like a  blur.

check out all the great photos on the meetup site. i want to thank alan for the fantastic cooking demo and  all the time, effort and money he  spent on his presentation. please consider supporting alan's work by buying his "speed vegan" or requesting that your local whole foods store carry this fine book.

we also had the great honor of hosting tom regan's family, as well as john pierre and marc beckoff. such an honor to be amongst animal rights luminaries.

we celebrated some veganversaries and new vegans, and "leaning into veganism" folks. we had an amazing array of colorful, delicious and life enhancing food.

special thanks to the folks that helped with breakdown and set up: phil, nyeng, nancy, sydney, travis, eric, cheryl, chris, joe, marlene, rachel, linda, brenda. am i forgetting anyone?! i know who you are in my heart.

what stunk with such a great gathering? the folks that offered to help with set up never showed up or bothered to let me know they changed their mind.  we had 9 no shows (and four of those were booted because it was their 3rd or 4 no show for a full event).

events to look forward to: our 5 year veganversary and gentle thanksgiving event. sadly, the september school sold off that wonderful building and we no longer have them to host our event. if you know of a relatively inexpensive place that can host 100 people or so please email me directly. look forward to an exciting restaurant outing being announced later today.

to empty cages, lisa
