the thunder storms and crazy weather didn't keep almost 60 of us from gathering for our potluck last night, and we heard a great talk by anne green, and matt ball of vegan outreach. and the food was fab. as always. check out some photos on the meetup page. thank you to all of the people who helped with set up and break down. xo
In exciting evolving news for our meetup, please join me in welcoming Lori Stultz as Boulder (and Beyond!) Vegan Meetup's new co-organizer. I am totally psyched to have sweet Lori involved in a bigger role and so appreciate of her eagerness to help with the meetup gatherings. While Lori is a relatively new vegan, I could tell early on that she had a deep commitment and sincerity to walk a vegan path. When I asked Lori to write something I could share with all of you she sent me the following:
My name is Lori Stultz, and I am a Religious Studies student at Naropa University in Boulder. I am a very "young" Vegan, but I truly feel it is one of the best life-long decisions I have ever made. I am a huge animal lover; after becoming more educated on the horrible animal cruelty and specism that takes place (and has been going on) in the world, Veganism simply made sense. My goals in stepping up to Co-Organizer of the The Boulder (and beyond!) Vegan Meetup is to provide a familiar, friendly face to those in the group, and to be a consistent "right hand woman" throughout the various meetups and events. I am looking very forward to it!
I am so thankful that Lori will be a co-pilot for our community as this group continues to grow.
While we won't be having our regular monthly potuck for August, we will be having some restaurant outings and a vodka sampling event and some other fun stuff that is still in the works.
The potlucks will start back up in September.
Does anyone want to host a small home potluck and video? Email me.
As always, let me know what you'd like to see this meetup provide and how we can support you on your Vegan path.
peace and peas on all our plates,
