I am a co-coordinator for this year's Walk for Farm Animals for Farm Sanctuary, a really awesome non-profit some of you may have heard of. They adopt farm animals across the country and allow them to live their lives in peace, without the threat of being killed and sold for meat. They also do a lot of outreach, especially their founder, Gene Bauer, who is always giving talks about the dangers of the meat industry and eating meat.
This year's walk will take place in Boulder at the bandshell downtown. It is on September 21st, and will take place right next to the farmer's market! So if you're planning on going shopping at the market that day anyway, stop over and walk with us! We have some really awesome raffle prizes (gift certificates to Alfalfa's market, home delivery of 4 pints of ice cream from Cows Gone Coconut!, and more!), a great band, and complimentary vegan Bobo bars for registered walkers!
You can register at the event, or for a discounted price you can register online at
walkforfarmanimals.org and search for Boulder.
Please also feel free to check out and like our facebook page - Denver-Boulder Walk for Farm Animals.
I hope to see you guys there! It will be a lot of fun this year! If anyone has any questions, please let me know.
