New Meetup: NOON SATURDAY "R" VB South (DeKoevend Park - University and Arapahoe)

Announcing a new Meetup for The Colorado Volleyball & Coed Sports MeetUp Group!

What: "R" VB South (DeKoevend Park - University and Arapahoe)

When: Saturday, July 17,[masked]:00 PM

Where: deKoevend Park/Goodson Rec Ctr
6315 S University Blvd
Littleton, CO 80121

"R" - Recreational. If you enjoy playing CO-ED RECREATIONAL volleyball, please join us.

This is grass volleyball and we play mainly 4 on 4. We will also play 6 on 6 if there are not enough nets and some doubles if there are enough nets. All levels of recreational play are welcome. We try to help the new players learn the ropes so let us know if you're new to the game or would like some tips. We do encourage everyone to do their best in trying to work as a team to get 3 hits on each side of the net (bump, set, spike), to stay out of the net and to follow the rule that the setter takes the second ball unless they call for help. This is not "jungle ball". This is not super competitive A level ball. The level of play is somewhere in between. This is a joint venture with another south group so we usually have about 20 people.

We're a group of laid-back, easy-going friends. Our objective is just to have fun. See directions below.

WE NEED MORE NETS. If you have a net and ball, or can borrow one, please email the organizer or post a comment on your RSVP. If you are bringing a net, it would be really great if you could show up 15 minutes early. If you don't have a net and can help us set up, please show up early.

REMEMBER TO BRING LOTS OF ICE COLD WATER AND SNACKS TO SHARE. IF YOU HAVE BOOMBOX, BRING US SOME TUNES. SEE YOU THERE!

Also, please remember to contribute $1.00 or $2.00 to the organizer each time you attend a Meet-Up Event to help with group costs. Thank you.

WEATHER ALERT: If it's wet out or really cold (less than 60 degrees), chances are we will not be there. When possible, I will update here on the website so if it's questionable, you might want to check here first before coming out.

DIRECTIONS:

DEKOEVEND PARK/GOODSON REC CENTER DIRECTIONS:

Take C470 to University

Go north on University past Dry Creek and Arapahoe to Goodson Rec Center/Josephine Way and turn left

Turn left into parking lot (if you have nets or coolers, get here early as parking is limited in this closer lot)

If above parking lot is full, go right and park in the Highline Community Church parking lot, or park in the residential area on the east side of University

Look for nets by playground
