I just finished a book by a neurobiologist that had a stroke at the age of
37. From the beginning moments of her stroke she explains how she feels, what
she thinks (or can't as her brain gets damaged), and eventually how she
recovers. I definitely recommend this book to anyone at risk for a stroke, or
anyone interested in learning better recovery tools.
There is also a New hardcover book out written by a man who was
a news caster( I think) called Change In The Weather. Some book stores are sold
out on this one already. This is also a true account of a stroke experience.
Finally there are enough survivors that recover well enough to write about the
changes in their lives.
Anyone wish to suggest a group read for October?
The Monster of Florence is a new
book written about a "cold case" file in Italy. Two men investigate and feel
they find the true killer.
Al is a new book about our
