Erica was first introduced to Hustle while attending the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. With more than 17 Advanced Amateur 1st place wins under her belt, Erica was arguably the Top Female Amateur Hustle Competitor for two years prior to her professional status. Since becoming a professional competitor, Erica has garnered 1st place in Professional Just Hustle and Invitational Jack & Jill Hustle Divisions across the country. In 2007, TV Guide Magazine coined Erica the “Disco-Dancing Lawyer” after she performed a Just Hustle that led her all the way to Vegas on the nationally syndicated television show, “So You Think You Can Dance.” Thereafter, Erica was pictured alongside Shane Sparks in the July 2007 issue of US Weekly. In 2010, Erica pioneered and co-choreographed the first ever Hustle Flash Mob. The Hustle Flash Mob Choreography has been viewed approximately 40,000 times on YouTube. The Hustle Flash Mob has garnered the attention of media outlets and has been performed both nationally and internationally. In addition to competing, Erica is very passionate about sharing her love of dance with her students. Erica has received Top Teacher awards at Disco America, MADjam, Swing Fling, and DCSX.
