A Study of Freemasonry (June 15, 2013)

On June 15, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. a study group will be held at the Centerville Library. Each month a different topic, ranging from philosophy and science, to religion and metaphysics, is discussed and debated. Please arrive at 3:45 P.M. so the discussion can begin promptly at 4:00 P.M.

June's topic will be conducted by Brother Deborah Dilley on The Masonic Ideal of Duty within the Bhagavad Gita. After a short Lecture a discussion and debate by all members of the study group will follow.

The Bhagavad Gita, the epic Hindu tale detailing the path to devotion and selfless action, states that one must "do their duty without hesitation".  We will discuss the nature of one's duty to themselves and mankind as it relates to Freemasonry and the Gita.

This group, which is open to the public, is where non-members can learn more about Freemasonry, as well as meet local Freemasons.

Excellent discussion the Gita. Learning the back story of Krishna and Arjuna put it into perspective. If the Gita is trying to point out the purpose of duty, I have to ask "is voilence necessary"?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
